ENABLE RAPID OFF-THE-SHELF CUSTOMIZATION FOR POPULAR TAHOE 8724 AND TAHOE 8824 CAVIUM™ MIPS and ARM® PROCESSOR-BASED OEM NETWORKING SOLUTIONS
Interface Masters Technologies, an innovative networking leader, today announces a full-range of off- the-shelf customization options for its industry-leading Tahoe 8724 and Tahoe 8824 networking appliances. Four field-upgradeable I/O modules are now available which add the following ports to both Tahoe 8724 (Cavium 7890 64-Bit MIPS based appliance) and Tahoe 8824 (Cavium ARM MIPS based appliance):
- Eight ports of 10G SFP+
- Two ports of 25G SFP28
- Two ports of 40G QSFP+
A double-wide featuring 4 ports of 100G QSFP28 + 24 ports of 1/10G SFP+
These Cavium ARM and MIPS processor-based embedded networking appliances and I/O modules enable Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) to rapidly deliver high-performance, highly-flexible solutions to the network security appliance, Network Function Virtualization (NFV), Software Defined Networks (SDN), SSL/IPSec offload processing, 3G / 4G / LTE gateways, Unified Threat Management (UTM), Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), Intrusion Prevention System (IPS), Data Loss Prevention (DLP), WAN optimization, Application Delivery Controllers (ADC), wireless controllers and load balancers markets. “Interface Masters Technologies is an embedded appliance innovation and technology leader. Rapid Product Development
The TAHOE 8724/8824 appliance product family provides out-of-the-box support for the Cavium Software Development Kit (SDK) and for Linux-based multi-core MIPS and ARM processor environments. Support for Cavium SDK and additional built-in software and firmware enable rapid development and integration for next-generation networking products. Interface Masters Technologies provides continuous support and enhancement for the life of the product as new revisions of the operating system and patches are released. In addition, Interface Masters provides specialized engineering services to meet OEMs’ customization requirements in weeks, rather than months.
