SAN JOSE, CA --(March 09, 2016) - Interface Masters Technologies, an industry leader in innovative networking solutions, today announced that the Open Compute Project added their Top Of Rack Ethernet Switch to the OCP's list of accepted submissions.
The OCP's Incubation Committee voted to accept the Broadcom/Interface Masters Open 1.0 Leaf and Spine Switch, adding the hardware specification to their rapidly growing list of Open Sourced switch hardware.
"Introducing the Open Source concept to the highly proprietary networking equipment industry is something we're very excited about," enthused Bill Kish, CTO at Interface Masters. "While it's still not possible for anyone with a soldering iron and our specifications to build a 100 gigabit Ethernet switch, the open source crowd review process benefits the whole community and allows everyone to see under the hood."
Full specifications, designs and schematics for the Broadcom/Interface Masters Open 1.0 Leaf and Spine Switch can be found in the Networking section of the OCP website.
Interface Masters offers a wide selection of Ethernet switches, NICS and Networking Appliances, all of which may be customized to customer requirements. Interface Masters will be exhibiting at booth # E15 at the OCP Summit in San Jose this week.
