INTERFACE MASTERS Technologies Announces New Deep Packet Inspection System Supporting Application Identification

Niagara 5004 provides VoIP Load Balancing, Traffic Analytics and Extensive Filtering

Interop, Las Vegas, April 3rd, Interface Masters Technologies, an industry leader and innovator in networking solutions, today announced a new addition to the Niagara Deep Packet Inspection (DPI) product family, the Niagara 5004. The Niagara 5004 provides application identification, session based load balancing, 50,000 complex filters, VoIP call based load balancing, and flow/traffic statistics. The system has a network analytics engine providing session statistics, metadata and CDRs according to user specifications.

Many VoIP analytics and recording tools can support only up to 1Gbps of traffic. If the network has a higher bandwidth, the need for a VoIP load balancer is required to keep the sessions intact when traffic navigation happens. The system needs to follow the call state to be able to send the control and data to the same port/appliance. Niagara 5004 keeps track of the sessions and due to its stateful capability, it follows the call and ties the control and data to the same session while being able to send/tag the same call information to the same port. By keeping all the session information, the system distributes the sessions evenly in a round robin mode.

"The Niagara 5004 is a cost effective solution that responds to the market demand for advanced features, high performance, 1U form factor and high reliability," stated Ben Askarinam, founder and CEO of Interface Masters Technologies. "The DPI with the extensive filtering capabilities and the addition of VoIP support, offloads from the advanced monitoring devices and extends their capabilities, providing significant efficiencies and savings.”
The Niagara 5004 can be utilized with VoIP recording and analytics tools and can run in conjunction with a broad range of applications, including security, performance monitoring, networking forensics, lawful intercept and data center server appliances.

Availability
The Niagara 5004 will be presented at the Interop show in Las Vegas, April 1st - 3rd at booth #850. The product is in Beta and is available for evaluation.
