Interface Masters Announces Tahoe 8714 Networking Appliance with Highly Integrated Security and Processing for Enterprise Applications

SAN JOSE, CA – MAY 24, 2021 – Interface Masters announces Tahoe 8714, a 1U networking appliance capable of highly-integrated security and processing that targets enterprise applications. It is the newest addition to Interface Masters’ family of MIPS-based solutions. Design engineers chose the Marvell® OCTEON III® (CN7360) 1800 MHz 16-core with MIPS64™ as the Tahoe 8714 processor as the processor features Marvell’s venerable MIPS64 architecture, fourth-generation application hardware acceleration and security features. The processor supports Elliptical Crypto (ECC), SHA2/ SHA3 algorithms and supports robust Deep Packet Inspection (DPI).

Tahoe 8714 features 4x 10GE SFP+ ports, two DDR4 SO-DIMM (2x16GB ECC) in addition to USB 3.0. It is equipped with AC and DC version power supplies and four field replaceable fans. Marvell SDK is supported with multiple Linux distributions. Add-on software and hardware is available to speed application development. Complete full suite certifications are standard on all appliances.
