The Tahoe 2987 is a highly flexible switching appliance based on Marvell’s Bobcat III switch fabric managed by an Intel x86 control plane. This OpenSwitch-compatible white box system includes a fully-featured control plane stack with Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking protocol support.
Tahoe 2987’s design is optimized for operational efficiency and supports the rapid roll-out of new services. The solution offers significant CapEx savings through open source as well as OpEx savings through network automation.
Available software services help customers manage the switches like servers based on leading-industry software and hardware. The Tahoe 2987 is designed to be compatible with standard 19″ enterprise rack specifications.
