The Tahoe 2950 is a highly-flexible switching appliance based on Marvell’s Bobcat III switch fabric managed by an Intel x86 control plane. This OpenSwitch compatible white box system includes a fully-featured control plane stack with Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking protocol support. Tahoe 2950’s design is optimized for operational efficiency and supports rapid roll-out of new services. The solution offers significant CapEx savings through open source as well as OpEx savings through network automation. Available software services help customers manage the switches like servers based on leading-industry software and hardware. The Tahoe 2950 is designed to be compatible with 19″ Enterprise Rack specifications.
The Tahoe 2950 is designed for maximum performance in a 1U form factor and supports up to 48 ports of 10GbE and 4 ports of 100GbE. Software configurations include white box with ONIE and a complete SDK tools for custom development. Open Flow and software partner solutions available.
